Hello and welcome to my website. I’m Wayne Erfmann, a 34-year-old from Adlington, Lancashire. I have been part of the building trade since I was old enough to walk. My dad was a foreman on-site when I was younger. My brother and I spent as much time on-site as we could when not in school.

I left school at just 14. I didn’t find it easy there; maths, French, and geography just weren’t for me. I always knew I wanted to be a builder, and from an early age, I just wanted to work. I left school and started working for my dad’s company. I worked there for four years, working hard day in and day out. Starting from the bottom, I worked my way up, gaining experience in all aspects of building work, from extensions and conversions to driveways and groundwork.

After four years, I began my second role, learning the craft of joinery. This time, I spent six years on-site, and it was during this period that I gained my NVQs in Groundwork and Shuttering Joinery. At the age of 25, I set up my own business, initially working part-time, but business soon took off. Six months later, W. Erfmann & Son Builders & Groundworks became a full-time operation. I’ve never looked back. In my 10 years of trading, we’ve gone from strength to strength. Nowadays, we are always busy. For a tradesman delivering high-quality work at competitive prices, word travels fast. Most of my work now comes from repeat customers and recommendations.

In just 10 years, we’ve expanded to three vans and a team of full-time staff trained to meet and exceed expectations. We deliver high levels of customer service and provide a truly professional experience on every occasion.
